Miessence Purifying Cleanser For Oily Problem Skin

Miessence Purifying Cleanser For Oily Problem Skin

“A purifying cleanser with fresh organic lemon peel oil, witch hazel and burdock that leaves the skin feeling soft, clean and fresh, without feeling stripped and dry.” – ONEgroup

Sarah and I have been using this product for a few months now, we started using it after some friends of ours recommended it to us to help my acne.

It works in the same way as any other cleanser in the sense it helps control excess oil and removes dead skin, however the main point of difference for this cleanser is it’s certified organic, it contains no synthetic chemicals and is very soft on the face.

Sarah and I both noticed the difference between this cleanser and your run of the mil chemical cleanser instantly, the texture is very different and it doesn’t feel like it leaves behind a thin film of chemicals on your face as you apply it.
We noticed visual effects such as the disappearance of excess oil after only a few days, after a few weeks the difference was incredible, both mine and Sarah’s skin had become much clearer.

After about 2 months of use Sarah’s breakouts have stopped almost entirely and mine have dramatically decreased in both frequency and severity. I don’t get much if any redness and soreness with my breakouts now, which is great.

How to use the cleanser…

“Gently press the face with a warm, soft cloth to soften and prepare the skin for cleansing. Shake well before use. Massage one or two pumps of cleanser into your face and neck. Remove with a damp cloth and plenty of water. If wearing make-up, a second cleanse is necessary.” – ONEgroup

Sarah and I use this product twice a day, every day and we both happily recommend it to anyone with problem skin.

Most people Sarah and I speak with about organics say they notice big differences in taste between organic foods and non-organic foods. Multiple people we have spoken to went as far as saying “organic food tastes like real food”. Whats your thoughts on this, do you feel the same way?

What Is Brown Rice And What Are The Benefits?

Brown Rice (left), White Rice (right)

Brown Rice (left), White Rice (right)

Brown rice is a great, natural alternative to white rice. It is a whole, natural grain and is much more nutritious then white rice as it has only had its outer husk removed. By only removing the outer husk the bran and germ layer are left in place and because of this it retains many more vitamins and dietary minerals when compared to white rice. Brown rice is also much higher in magnesium then white rice and is relatively low in sodium.

Traditionally in most parts of Asia, because of its nutritional benefits brown rice was given to the sick and elderly and was also commonly used as a cure for constipation. It wasn’t eaten much by the general population as it was considered a food for times of poverty and war time shortages. Today brown rice is a replacement for white rice in the diets of many health conscious people around the world.

Buying Brown Rice

Brown rice can be purchased in most if not all supermarkets around the globe. It is slightly more expensive then white rice because of its relatively low supply and can be quite difficult for distributors to store. As with all foods you should always opt for the organic option if one can be found in your local supermarket.

Storing Brown Rice

Brown rice can be stored at room temperature under normal procedures for around 6 months but by placing it in an air tight storage medium and putting it the fridge or even freezing it you will extend its shelf life dramatically.

Cooking Brown Rice

Before cooking your brown rice it should be soaked for 24 hours in warm water and rinsed, however If your under time constraints just a thorough rinse under warm water will be fine.

Brown rice takes a little longer to cook then white rice, it can take from 30 to 45 minuets to be ready. 1 cup of brown rice requires around 2-3 cups of water. You can replace the water with chicken or vegetable stock to add some extra flavor.

Brown rice can be cooked either on your stove top or in a standard electric rice cooker.

Eating Brown Rice

Brown rice works well with anything white rice does. It’s quite chewy compared to white rice and has a mild nutty flavor that goes very well with chicken. Brown rice is slow to digest and because of this people often include it in their breakfast to give them a slow release of energy during the day.
